ROSE DAMASCENA Steam distilled essential oil:
An amazing collection of studies and historical references for the Damask rose from the National Library of Medicine: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3586833/
Thirteen clinical trials (772 participants) were included in this review. Rose oil was administered via inhalation or used topically. Most of the studies (five trials) evaluated the analgesic effect of rose oil. Five studies evaluated the physiological relaxation effect of rose oil. Anti-depressant, psychological relaxation, improving sexual dysfunction, and anti-anxiety effects were the other clinical properties reported for rose oil.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5511972/#:~:text=Anti%2Ddepressant%2C%20psychological%20relaxation%2C,properties%20reported%20for%20rose%20oil.

JOJOBA OIL:
Simmondsia chinensis seed oil, or Jojoba seed oil is obtained from the seeds of the jojoba shrub native to the deserts and semi-deserts of North and Central America. Technically it is not an oil but a wax in structure and is characterised by a very smooth and silky spreadability with a light ‘dry oil’ feeling on the skin.
Jojoba oil contains Provitamin A and Vitamin E, which has an anti-oxidative effect. With non-comedogenic moisture binding properties. jojoba is effective for all skin types, but especially for more mature and dryer. skin. (Cosmile Europe Database)
SQUALANE: (botanical source)
Along with its moisturising ability, squalane oil benefits also include being an oil-soluble antioxidant. It works with other antioxidants in skin to neutralise damaging oxygen molecules generated when skin is exposed to UV light.
The antioxidant benefit of squalane also helps it protect skin’s oil from what’s known as lipid peroxidation, a process that damages skin’s surface and deeper in the pore lining where oil originates. This peroxidation is also believed to play a role in acne, as it can change the skin’s oil composition so it becomes inflammatory.
Squalane’s sebum-like ability helps lubricate skin so it feels comfortable but, unlike too much sebum, its lightweight nature keeps it from feeling greasy. It’s recognised by other lipids present in skin such as ceramides and cholesterol, where it works to visibly repair skin’s vital barrier, a process that can help skin look younger and become less reactive.

NEROLIDOL(natural isolate (from Cebreuva oil):
Fragrance: Soft, rosy, green, clean note.
Nerolidol, also called peruviol and penetrol, is easily absorbed into the skin and can enhance the absorption of other ingredients and actives.
Enhanced Skin Absorption: Topical medications are often limited by their ability to penetrate the skin. Some terpenes, especially nerolidol, have excellent permeability and are able to pass through the stratum corneum (the top layer of skin), making them useful for facilitating the transfer of other actives more deeply into the skin..
To date, various pharmacological and biological activities of nerolidol have been reported such as anti-microbial, anti-biofilm, anti-oxidant, anti-parasitic, skin-penetration enhancer, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer.
